## Description

Avalon Gestüt is a horse-breeding and riding establishment in Burgwedel, Germany, focused on breeding, riding instruction and training. The stud has bred Dartmoor ponies since 1999, following the English breeding objective and selecting for sound type, strong conformation and a balanced temperament. Its breeding began with the search for versatile ponies of a suitable size for younger riders—horses able to take part in dressage, jumping and trail riding.

Since 2019, Avalon Gestüt has also pursued a breeding direction intended to make riding accessible to people with allergies. The stud pairs its mares with a Curly stallion, with the first foals from this initiative born in 2021 and 2022. Young horses from mares of several backgrounds, including Hanoverian, Thoroughbred, Dartmoor, German Riding Pony and Konik lines, are raised at the establishment. The goal is to develop willing, clear-headed all-rounders rather than highly specialized competition horses. Avalon Gestüt also offers horse boarding, riding instruction and training, lists horses for sale, and shares news and event information.
