## Description

**Brand Description: Averroes VZW**

Averroes VZW is a dynamic youth organization located in the vibrant Brugse Poort area of Ghent, Belgium. Established in the early 1990s, Averroes has evolved into a significant player in the youth welfare sector, with its heart centered around the youth house "De Bijenkorf." This hub fosters connection and engagement among young people, offering a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors after school hours.

Averroes operates several initiatives focused on youth, culture, and sports, including Sportschool9duust, which emphasizes boxing, and FTA Gent, dedicated to futsal. In 2024, it will launch Kapsalon Dar, a unique hair salon run by and for youth, combining social cohesion and entrepreneurship. Additionally, the Early Out project addresses concerns surrounding youth and substance use by providing accessible support and guidance in collaboration with local partners. Through these diverse programs, Averroes empowers young individuals, promoting valuable life skills, personal growth, and community engagement.
