## Description

Avery’s Little Army is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of Avery Marie Lafferty and supporting children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Founded in memory of Avery, who died at age 12 after being diagnosed with cancer in 2021, the organization channels her story into efforts to advance pediatric brain and other cancer research, assist families navigating pediatric cancer, and increase public awareness.

The organization raises funds for research and offers support and assistance to families facing the challenges of a child’s cancer diagnosis. It also promotes activities that bring attention to pediatric cancer and shares Avery’s story through its website and media updates. Visitors can support its mission through one-time or monthly donations, including custom contributions, or by mailing a check to its Milford, Connecticut, address. Avery’s Little Army also offers merchandise through its website. Based in Milford, the nonprofit invites supporters to follow its journey on Instagram and participate in its work to honor Avery and help patients like her.
