## Description

AVIS Faenza is a volunteer donor association based in Faenza, Ravenna, working to support local blood-transfusion self-sufficiency. Its members give blood and plasma periodically, helping meet hospitals’ needs for emergency care, surgery, transplants and the treatment of serious illnesses. The association informs the public about the importance and principles of donation, eligibility requirements, different types of donation, and circumstances that may require temporary or permanent exclusion.

AVIS Faenza helps prospective donors take their first steps, including arranging an initial visit and suitability tests, and provides appointment booking and practical information. Its secretariat handles general enquiries, while its medical clinic can address health-related questions and the donation room can advise on the practical process. The association also promotes volunteering and community engagement through initiatives such as Servizio Civile, school activities, and the Avis network and employment project. It shares news and events, publishes donation statistics, and invites supporters to contribute through the 5×1000 tax allocation. Based at Viale Stradone 9, the association serves the Faenza community.
