## Description

AVIS Comunale Reggio Calabria is a nonprofit volunteer association promoting responsible, voluntary, regular and unpaid donation of blood and blood components. Active in the local community since 1954, the branch has more than 5,000 donor members and works to support the needs of patients and the wider health system. Its activities are guided by a commitment to donor and recipient safety, informed participation and community engagement.

The association helps prospective donors understand eligibility requirements, donation procedures, possible suspensions and exclusions, and the checks carried out to protect health. People interested in joining can review and complete the required forms, then visit the office with identification and a health card for a medical assessment. Those found eligible may proceed with their first donation. Existing donors can book through AVISNET online, by telephone or in person.

The branch also provides donor services and educational resources about blood, plasma, donation types and transfusion safety.
