## Description

AVIS Comunale Trezzo sull’Adda is a local branch of the Italian Blood Volunteers Association, a non-profit, non-partisan and non-denominational organization dedicated to civic solidarity and social benefit. It works to help ensure an adequate supply of blood and blood components for patients who need them, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion or political beliefs. Founded in 1960, the association serves the Trezzo sull’Adda area and operates a collection unit in Busnago. Its activities include welcoming and enrolling donors, organizing blood and plasma donations, and providing information on eligibility, preparation and health checks. The website offers donation booking, schedules, guidance for new and returning donors, and information about where to donate and how to access test results online for eligible donors. AVIS Trezzo also shares news and hosts community activities, including school initiatives, sporting partnerships and local events. People who meet the stated age, health and weight requirements can learn how to become donors, while supporters may contribute through Italy’s 5 per mille tax-donation system.
