## Description

WNCCYPAA, the Western North Carolina Committee of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous, brings people together in the Asheville area through fellowship, service, meetings, events, and outreach. Its mission is to carry AA’s message, connect young people in recovery, and help bridge the gap between AA and treatment centers. The organization welcomes anyone willing to grow spiritually; age is not a requirement for being part of its community.

WNCCYPAA organizes social gatherings and recovery-focused activities that make connection and enjoyment part of sobriety. Its featured event is a free weekend campout at Kuykendall in Brevard, North Carolina, scheduled for October 16–18, 2026. The program includes meetings, hiking, games, shared meals, and time around the campfire. The committee also hosts events such as GLIZZYPAA, a casual gathering featuring food and conversation.

Visitors can register online, receive event details and a packing list, and contact the committee by email for information about upcoming events, meetings, or getting involved. WNCCYPAA emphasizes fellowship, practical service, and welcoming community.
