# Avonworth Historical Society - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `avonworth-history.org` ## Description Avonworth Historical Society is a community-focused organization dedicated to preserving the shared history of the Avonworth area and helping future generations understand their roots. It collects artifacts, stories, and images from both the region’s earliest settlers and its newest residents, documenting how Ben Avon, Ben Avon Heights, Emsworth, Ohio Township, and Kilbuck Township grew from rural communities into established neighborhoods. The society shares local history through educational programs and public resources, including lectures, newsletters, and a podcast. Its talks explore regional subjects such as the British roots of Avonworth’s founders, Pittsburgh’s historic sports venues, and the early days of aviation in Western Pennsylvania. The organization also records and presents historical events, places, and community memories. Community support helps sustain this work. The society is raising funds to restore the Elste Building and support renovations to its new office and local programs. Fundraising activities, including a summer getaway raffle, invite residents and supporters to contribute. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064763466376) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/avonworthhistory) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/ids_vS18n9/w/800/h/463/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793736210108) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/ids_vS18n9/w/150/h/150/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793736210292) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Well Read | #b4353c | accent | | Millbrook | #605138 | dark | | Contessa | #cc867b | light | ## Fonts - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
