Awakening Minds Art, founded in 2009, is a nonprofit organization located in Findlay, Ohio. With a mission to provide therapeutic and educational visual art programs to all ages and abilities, they aim to create affirming, all-inclusive spaces where individuals can develop into their best selves. Their programs cater to a wide range of needs and interests.

Therapeutic programs are thoughtfully designed for special needs individuals of all ages, while educational programs are open to everyone, regardless of age or ability. From one-on-one sessions to group programs, private groups to team building, Awakening Minds Art offers a variety of engaging art classes. Originally a part of Art Without Boundaries, founder Sarah Crisp-Ricker decided to establish Awakening Minds Art as an independent organization in 2010 to better serve the community.

Over the years, the organization has evolved and grown, providing services in homes, schools, nursing homes, and their own studio. Despite facing challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, Awakening Minds Art remains dedicated to rebuilding and continuing to provide off-site services. They welcome individuals to join their community, where they can express themselves freely without fear of judgment.
