## Description

The Awesome Foundation is a global community dedicated to advancing the interest of awesome in the universe, one $1,000 grant at a time. With autonomous chapters worldwide, this foundation supports awesome projects through micro-grants, typically given out on a monthly basis. These grants, totaling $1,000 or its local equivalent, are provided by the chapter's trustees on a no-strings-attached basis to individuals and groups working on remarkable projects. But what exactly does awesome mean? Each chapter defines it uniquely, resulting in a diverse range of initiatives spanning arts, technology, community development, and more. Many of these projects are innovative and experimental, aiming to surprise and delight. You can explore some of the grants on the chapter pages of their website to get a better sense of what they consider awesome. Since its humble beginnings in 2009, the Awesome Foundation has garnered significant media coverage, further spreading the word about their mission. And who knows, maybe one day they'll fulfill their dream of supporting a project involving dinosaurs!.
