## Description

A Word in the Woods is a unique brand founded and crafted by artisan Mike Zimmermann. Based in Toronto, Canada, Mike specializes in designing heirloom-quality leather goods tailored for individuals who appreciate both functionality and timeless craftsmanship. The brand originated from humble beginnings over a decade ago, where Mike initially took on repair jobs in the Canadian backcountry. His passion for leatherwork flourished after he transitioned from a 20-year corporate career to pursue his true calling.

Each product is meticulously handcrafted, reflecting Mike’s commitment to quality and personal expression. The leather goods range from practical everyday items to survival accessories suitable for both urban and rural environments. Every piece uniquely captures a story, revealing its quality and character through age and use.
