## Description

Axantum Software AB, founded in 2004 by Svante Seleborg in Sweden, is a privately-held company that specializes in file encryption and cryptography. The company initially gained recognition for its development of AxCrypt, a popular encryption tool, but since mid-2016, all support and development for AxCrypt software has transitioned to a separate entity, AxCrypt AB. After parting ways with AxCrypt AB in 2020 over differing visions for the software's future, Axantum shifted its focus to the Xecrets product line. The Xecrets suite includes Xecrets Ez desktop, Xecrets Ez mobile, and Xecrets Cli, all available for free with additional premium features. These offerings are based on the open-source GPL AxCrypt code, repositioned by Svante Seleborg. In addition to product development, Svante also provides consulting services in advanced .NET development, performance optimization, and security. Axantum emphasizes user privacy, refusing to track personal data or employ cookies on their platforms.
