## Description

Ay Up Duck Aerospace is a UK-based aerospace company developing rotorless vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft. Its flagship aircraft, Mandarin, is designed to combine the deployment flexibility of VTOL with the range and efficiency of fixed-wing flight, without exposed external lift rotors. The company serves civil and defence operators seeking rapidly deployable, persistent aerial capability with straightforward operation and maintenance.

Mandarin is intended for defence and security missions, including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) for land and maritime operations. Its modular payload options support sensing, observation and other mission roles. For industrial and commercial customers, the aircraft is designed for long-range monitoring and inspection of linear infrastructure such as railways, power lines and pipelines, in onshore and offshore environments. Payload choices can include visual, multispectral and LiDAR equipment.

Ay Up Duck highlights multi-hour endurance, mobile or temporary launch locations, enclosed propulsion and a reduced acoustic signature as features of its approach. The company also describes a scalable aircraft architecture and potential non-kinetic counter-UAV applications.
