## Description

AZC, short for Alphense Zwem Club, is a swimming association in Alphen aan den Rijn, founded on 17 March 1926 and affiliated with the Royal Dutch Swimming Federation (KNZB). Its home pool has been Aquarijn since 2012. The club brings together three closely cooperating departments: competitive swimming, artistic (synchronized) swimming, and water polo.

AZC offers training and competition opportunities for a wide range of ages and abilities. Its swimming programme includes competitive swimming and AZC Masters, a group for recreational and dedicated swimmers aged 20 to 85. Artistic swimming combines swimming, music, dance, team routines, competitions, diploma activities, and performances, with both recreational and national-level participation. Water polo develops swimming fitness and ball skills through coached training and matches for youth and adults.

Alongside regular sport, the association hosts tournaments, social events, and a youth camp. AZC also shares club news, competition schedules, results, records, membership information, and event details through its website.
