## Description

Artsen Zonder Vakantie is a recognised non-governmental organisation and a dynamic network of more than 400 medical, paramedical and technical experts in Belgium and Africa, supported by a professional team. For over 40 years, its volunteer experts have worked with partner hospitals to help improve access to high-quality, patient-centred care. The organisation builds sustainable partnerships with more than 40 hospitals across three African regions, strengthening local teams so they can provide better care independently.

Its work includes professional exchanges, coaching, workplace guidance, training, internships, workshops and supervision. Experts share medical practices and develop locally adapted training, methods and protocols. Artsen Zonder Vakantie also supports hospitals with technical and biomedical equipment, including training staff in its proper use, maintenance and repair. Further assistance focuses on hospital organisation, such as hygiene, medical records, pharmacy operations and stock management.

Individuals and businesses can support its programmes through one-time or monthly donations, fundraising initiatives, corporate contributions, or bequests and legacies.
