## Description

Backstage Capital is a groundbreaking brand that is dedicated to addressing the inequality in venture capital funding. With less than 10% of all venture capital deals going to Women, People of Color, and LGBT founders, Backstage Capital saw this as a significant opportunity for investment rather than just a pipeline problem. The brand has already invested in 200 companies led by underrepresented founders, proving their commitment to leveling the playing field. Led by Managing Partner Arlan Hamilton, Backstage Capital specifically focuses on investing in the very best founders who identify as women, People of Color, or LGBTQ. Arlan Hamilton herself identifies as all three, ensuring that the brand is deeply connected to their mission. Beyond their investment activities, Backstage Capital offers a range of resources to support underrepresented founders, including a portfolio, a team of mentors, and opportunities to connect with investors. Their weekly email newsletter, The Mixtape, delivers news, opportunities, and inspiring stories to help underrepresented founders succeed. For those looking to get involved, Backstage Capital provides a platform for applications and offers a helpful FAQ section and COVID-19 resources. If you're passionate about supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs and making a real impact in the venture capital space, Backstage Capital is the brand for you. Subscribe to their newsletter and join the movement.
