## Description

Backstreets is a fan-driven publication and online community devoted to Bruce Springsteen and other Jersey Shore artists. Founded in 1980, Backstreets Magazine has covered Springsteen’s recordings and performances for more than four decades, and has received a Music Journalism Award for Best Fanzine. Its website, Backstreets.com, extends that coverage with regular news updates on recording activities, concerts, setlists, releases, and related music news, helping readers stay informed between magazine issues. The site also provides information about new issues, online articles, and back issues.

Fans can connect through BTX, a community forum that began as a ticket-trading resource and has grown to include dedicated spaces for ticket exchanges, discussion of Bruce Springsteen, nonprofit music sharing, and general conversation. Backstreets also operates an online shop featuring official and authorized Springsteen merchandise, including tour T-shirts, books, magazines, posters, imported CDs, and records, as well as collectibles available by mail. Backstreets describes itself as the world’s largest Springsteen fan community, while clarifying that it is not directly affiliated with the artist.
