Welcome to Blackfriary Archaeology Field School, the perfect place to learn archaeological field methods in a friendly and supportive environment. Established in 2010, we have been providing the highest standard of teaching and training for over a decade. Our goal is to offer an unforgettable experience to students, visitors, lifelong learners, and enthusiasts alike. During our digging season from May to August, we offer courses in Excavation, Survey, Environmental archaeology, and Bioarchaeology. Our experienced team will teach you how to record and uncover the fascinating history of the medieval friary located in Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland. As you learn, you'll be in the heart of Ireland's Ancient East, providing endless opportunities to explore the rich heritage sites in the area. We take pride in helping as many people as possible experience the adventure of unearthing the past and preserving it for future generations.
