## Description

The Bahá'í Community of Sri Lanka embodies the principles of unity, justice, and devotion to the common good. Established in the 1950s, this diverse community comprises individuals from various backgrounds across the island, including Colombo, Negombo, Kandy, and the northern peninsula. Central to their mission is the promotion of social transformation through spiritual and material development.

Bahá'ís engage in activities designed to empower individuals of all ages. They conduct classes that nurture children's spiritual growth, junior youth empowerment programs, and study circles that foster collective understanding and application of Bahá'í teachings. Regular devotional meetings strengthen community ties, while special events such as Nineteen Day Feasts and Holy Days enhance collective worship.

With a commitment to eliminating prejudice and fostering a sense of global citizenship, the Bahá'í Community of Sri Lanka strives to equip their fellow countrymen with the insights and capacities needed to build a united and prosperous society, grounded in the oneness of humanity as envisioned by their founder, Bahá'u'lláh.
