## Description

Bakas is a Filipino brand focused on helping people build meaningful connections through thoughtful conversation. Its name means “the mark that stays,” reflecting the lasting impact of being heard, asking the right question, and sharing an honest moment. Founded by John and Camille, the brand developed its Comfort Conversations approach from their experiences navigating depression, grief, academic pressure, and difficult family conversations. Bakas creates conversation tools designed to make opening up feel more comfortable, with questions arranged to encourage a gradual, pressure-free exchange.

Its products include Comfort Cards decks in Tagalog-English and English, with editions for mental health conversations, getting to know someone, couples, friends, small talk, and moving on. The Get-To-Know-You deck contains 60 English-language cards grouped into Identity, Connection, Emotion, and Life, helping people move beyond introductions without going too deep too soon. Bakas also offers a Comfort Journal, a daily self-help journal in Tagalog. These products are intended for conversations among friends, couples, classmates, colleagues, and others who want to connect more genuinely.
