Balans in Budget is the budget-coaching practice of Nienke Oostra, serving The Hague and surrounding areas. It helps employees and individuals experiencing financial stress regain control of their money, while also supporting employers who want to assist staff affected by financial worries. The service recognizes that money problems can affect concentration, wellbeing, attendance and productivity at work.

Budget coaching is presented as a collaborative, tailored alternative to handing over financial control through budget management or guardianship. Nienke works with clients to understand their situation, develop practical steps and build the skills to manage their finances independently. Support may include identifying relevant schemes or entitlements and exploring tax matters, such as benefits or potential tax credits, where applicable. The goal is lasting financial stability and greater confidence, not dependence on a coach.

Nienke’s approach draws on her experience as a coach and her former career as a physiotherapist. Alongside budget coaching, she is also a confidential adviser.
