## Description

Balinmore Stud is an Irish Draught breeding establishment in Bewholme, near Driffield in East Yorkshire. Established in 1986, it has grown from a hobby into one of the UK’s longest-established and most successful Irish Draught studs. The stud has stood a number of stallions over the years, including Knockboy Hero, Riverbank, Young Prospect, Atwood Black Laughton and Rebelara; its current stallion is Skip and Sea.

Balinmore’s mares and their progeny have earned notable success in the show ring, winning County Show Championships, Blue Chip Qualifiers, NFU Championships, HOYS titles, and National Supreme and Reserve Supreme Championships. Older stock have also achieved success under saddle across a range of equestrian disciplines.

The farm usually has young stock available for purchase, and foals can be booked before they arrive. Visitors are welcome throughout the year by prior appointment. Balinmore Stud also identifies itself as an artificial insemination centre, and provides information about its mares, foals due, stallion, stock for sale and directions through its website.
