## Description

Agrupació de Balls Populars de Torredembarra is a nonprofit cultural association dedicated to strengthening the festive and traditional character of celebrations in Torredembarra and encouraging appreciation of local and traditional culture. Founded in 1994, alongside the creation of the Ball de Cavallets, the association contributes to the town’s Festa Major by organising related events, publishing materials and managing elements of Torredembarra’s popular procession.

Its activities bring together a range of traditional dances and figures. These include Els Nans, l’Àliga, the Ball de Cavallets, the Mulassa, the Ball de Bastons and the Ball de Pastorets. The association also supports five children’s groups: the Ball de Bastonets, Ball de Cercolets, Mulasseta, Ball de Pastorets Infantil and Ball del Patatuf. Its cultural programme additionally includes the traditional carnival group Figa Te Fai.

With more than 375 members, Agrupació de Balls Populars de Torredembarra offers a community-based way to participate in and help preserve the town’s popular traditions and festive life.
