## Description

The British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT) is the UK’s professional body for music therapy and a registered charity dedicated to promoting the profession, raising awareness, and sharing information with the public. It supports both practitioners and people interested in music therapy through professional information, resources, and training opportunities. Visitors can learn about music therapy and the role of music therapists, explore approved courses and short-course training, and access continuing professional development materials and guidance. BAMT also offers a therapist-finding directory, with filters for location, age group, and clinical specialism, and information for organisations seeking to employ a therapist. Its resources include information leaflets, service-user materials, research links, accessibility guidance, and the British Journal of Music Therapy. The association connects its community through conferences, events, podcasts, news, and its blog, while providing membership benefits and professional support. BAMT also welcomes donations, legacies, and other support for its work. Through these services, it works to strengthen music therapy practice and make reliable information and opportunities more accessible across the UK.
