## Description

The Banks Lyon Memorial Trust is a charity supporting young people in Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding district. It aims to help those who face social or financial barriers to accessing education, training and qualifications that can lead to employment. The Trust primarily considers applicants aged 16 to 25, although other ages may also be considered, and offers grants to help address these barriers.

Its support has reached a range of local projects and organisations, including Connecting Kids, The Dukes’ Three Musketeers Community Company, Escape2Make, Lancaster Music Festival’s Search For a Star, and Emma Clayton ACE. The Trust has also awarded funding to Lancaster and Morecambe College to help students and apprentices who cannot access remote learning opportunities. Through these grants, it contributes to practical opportunities for young people to develop skills and pursue qualifications. The Banks Lyon Memorial Trust invites eligible local young people to apply for assistance and provides information about its work, funded projects, trustees and annual reports through its website.
