## Description

The British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), established in 1992, is a leading organization dedicated to promoting Play Therapy as a vital tool for helping children and young people heal. BAPT is committed to upholding high standards of professional practice and accreditation, ensuring its members are well-trained in the field of Play Therapy. Operating as a member-led charity, BAPT utilizes three core theoretical principles: the importance of actualization, the necessity of positive regard, and the recognition of play as a child's primary means of communication. BAPT offers a range of services, including accredited training courses in Play Therapy, resources for parents and healthcare professionals, and support groups for practitioners. Members gain access to valuable tools for continuing professional development, clinical supervision, and a variety of publications. Through initiatives such as British Play Therapy Week and interactive events, BAPT fosters community engagement and awareness about the significance of Play Therapy. Join BAPT to support the evolving landscape of Play Therapy and its role in child development.
