## Description

Barefoot Midwife, also known as Sacred Journey Midwifery, provides personalized midwifery care and planned homebirth services in Orange County, the Inland Empire, and parts of Los Angeles County. Led by licensed midwife Lisa Marie Oxenham, LM, CPM, with student midwife Richard Oxenham, the practice describes birth as a meaningful journey and aims to offer intimate, caring support for birthing people, babies, and their partners.

Services include preparation for and support during homebirth, including waterbirth. The midwife provides the equipment and education needed for families considering laboring or giving birth in water, with attention to comfort, positioning, and safety. The practice also supports families navigating VBAC, twin, and breech births, as well as offering birth preparation meetings. Its approach draws on more than 30 years of birth work, Waterbirth International certification, and Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner training. Barefoot Midwife also shares resources for families and provides training for midwives and mentoring for doulas, extending its work beyond direct birth care.
