## Description

BargaScot APS is a cultural association based in Barga, Tuscany, dedicated to celebrating and sharing the historic links between Barga and Scotland. The association organises cultural events that bring Scottish traditions to life in the town and contribute to Barga’s reputation as “the most Scottish town in Italy.” Its flagship event, the annual three-day Barga Scottish Festival, transforms the historic centre into a lively programme of Scottish music, dance, food, cultural talks and performances. The festival welcomes international artists and groups, including pipe bands and Highland dancers from Scotland, Canada and elsewhere. BargaScot APS also promotes a varied calendar of activities, with events such as Barga Burns Night, the King’s Birthday Party, “Bargo-Esteri in Festa,” “Scenes from Scotland” and classical vocal performances in the Serchio Valley. Its website features information on festival editions, events, press coverage, photographs and a shop. Through public celebrations and cultural programming, the association offers residents and visitors opportunities to explore Scottish heritage within the setting of a historic Tuscan town.
