## Description

Barking Mad is a UK dog-sitting and home-boarding service, established in 2000 as an alternative to kennels. The company arranges one-to-one dog holidays in the cosy homes of experienced local hosts, offering personalised care for dogs while their owners are away. Its dog holiday experts meet customers in person to help organise care tailored to each dog, giving owners peace of mind and pets a comfortable home environment.

Alongside dog home boarding, Barking Mad offers puppy boarding, wedding dog-sitting, doggy day care, dog walking and pet taxi services. The website also lists pet plan insurance and provides information about rates, how the service works and finding a local sitter. For people interested in working with the brand, opportunities include becoming a dog sitter or dog walker, as well as starting a Barking Mad franchise with access to business support. The company shares canine tips, advice and updates through its blog, and highlights its connection with Dogs for Good and fundraising activities.
