## Description

Barnluren is a Swedish company offering a private, screen-free way for children to call family and friends without needing a smartphone. Its service brings back the home phone experience through a Wi-Fi adapter that connects a standard analog telephone to a family-controlled network. Parents manage an approved contact list, so children can call trusted people without access to strangers, apps, or the open internet.

Each adapter includes Barnluren Friends, a free plan with unlimited calls to other Barnluren phones. Families can add the Friends & Family subscription, currently priced at 40 SEK per month, to let relatives and other invited contacts call the child’s phone through the app. A future plan, Barnluren Everyone, is described as offering a regular phone number and calls with approved conventional numbers; its price has not yet been announced.

Setup is designed to take only a few minutes: connect the adapter to power and Wi-Fi, attach an analog phone, and invite contacts through the app.
