Barry ISD, or Barry Intermediate School District, is an educational service agency established by the state of Michigan in 1962 to cater to the students and schools within Barry County. Our primary goal is to serve and support the education of learners in our community. We work hand in hand with the Delton Kellogg Schools and Hastings Area Schools, while also providing services to other educational institutions in the area.

Our services include special education programs and transportation, early childhood services, professional development for teachers, career/technical education support, and even driver testing. We also facilitate various programs and initiatives such as early literacy coaching, summer youth employment opportunities, and partnerships with different organizations. Barry ISD is financially supported by allocated mills, millages, grants, and generous donations from the Barry County community.

We take pride in serving approximately 4,000 students and strive to enhance educational opportunities for all students in our service area
