## Description

Bartonsham History Group is a community organisation founded in 2014 by residents of Bartonsham and the surrounding area in Hereford, UK. Its members share an interest in local and social history and invite everyone to take part. The group brings the past to life through regular meetings and a varied programme of walks, talks, visits, films, informal gatherings and pop-up exhibitions. It also supports historical research and shares discoveries through its website, news blog, Facebook page, maps, gallery and collection of stories and themed topics.

Resources explore the people, places and events that have shaped Bartonsham and Hereford, including historic streets, mills, churches, pubs, schools, the city wall, the infirmary and the former sewage works. The group also provides a parish history guide, a local history timeline and information about sites featured on an interpretation board near St Owen Gate. News and event listings help visitors follow upcoming activities and read reports from past events. People can contact the group with questions or subscribe to its mailing list for updates.
