## Description

Bartram Academy is an eco-friendly childcare and early learning center in St. Augustine, Florida, serving children from six weeks old through VPK, with camps for children up to age eight. The school offers families year-round care and education, including spring and winter break camps and full summer sessions. Its curriculum draws on the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing children’s creativity, curiosity, and learning through exploration in an open, naturalistic environment. Programs support early social, language, and math development while helping prepare children for elementary school.

Sustainability is central to Bartram Academy’s practices and teaching. The center uses green cleaning products, welcomes cloth diapers, recycles common materials, and incorporates recycled supplies into crafts. It also serves organic or all-natural fresh and fresh-frozen foods, according to its website. Bartram Academy reports receiving a 100% rating on state inspections and says all staff members are CPR certified. In 2013, it was named Green Business of the Year by the US Green Building Council’s North Florida group.
