## Description

Crowborough Bonfire & Carnival Society is a vibrant community organization deeply rooted in local tradition, part of the historic Sussex Bonfire Societies that have been celebrating since the early 19th century. Reformed shortly after World War II, the Society is now in its 66th year, proudly organizing a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to support local charities.

Every September, Crowborough comes alive with excitement as it hosts an annual Carnival featuring a spectacular torchlight procession with participants in colorful costumes from local societies. The event encourages schools, clubs, and businesses to participate by creating decorated floats, promoting community spirit. Additionally, a festive fete on the village green and a Children’s Carnival enrich the day, while dedicated street collectors help raise funds.

The evening culminates in a breathtaking bonfire and firework display, making it a highlight of the community calendar. Join us for a truly memorable celebration that brings together friends, families, and neighbors in a night of joy and festivity.
