## Description

BASAibu is a grassroots initiative focused on enhancing public participation and civic engagement among Indonesian youth by fostering discussions on critical issues in their local languages. The organization operates several community-driven online platforms, including various regional wikis such as BASAbali Wiki, BASAsulsel Wiki, and BASAkalimantan Wiki, which serve as resources for community knowledge and public dialogue. BASAibu facilitates trimonthly Wikithons, engaging schools and local sponsors in collaborative knowledge-building. Additionally, their innovative RIPTA feature connects young people directly with government officials, allowing for impactful exchanges on civic topics. The brand promotes cultural preservation through local language dictionaries and cultural documentation, while also empowering youth via initiatives like the Indonesian superhero Luh Ayu, which merges storytelling with social activism. Recognized for its efforts in promoting linguistic diversity and cultural identity, BASAibu works alongside policymakers, educators, and community leaders, believing in a future where youth voices significantly shape governmental policies.
