With over 5,000 producers, 99% of whom are women, organized into 12 groups, BaSE offers a wide range of handmade items, including baskets, bags, home decor, fashion, and accessories. Their products showcase the producers' great skill and can be customized to meet individual preferences. BaSE is committed to using local natural raw materials, ensuring that their products are 100% natural, biodegradable, and recyclable. By avoiding intermediaries or brokers, they directly purchase raw materials from farmers or producers. Founded by Fr. Giovanni Abbiati in 1977, BaSE continues to uplift the livelihoods of underprivileged handicraft producers, empowering them and promoting their products to create a positive impact in Bangladesh.
