## Description

BK Strakonice is a basketball club based in Strakonice, Czech Republic, with a tradition dating back to 1939. The club focuses on girls’ and women’s basketball, supporting players from introductory and mini-basketball levels through youth competition and the senior women’s team. Its programme includes teams in several age categories, including U10 and U11 mini-basketball, U14 and U15, U17 cadets, U19 juniors, and women’s basketball. The teams take part in regional and national competitions, with the women competing in the Czech first league and youth sides appearing in their respective leagues and tournaments.

BK Strakonice also invites beginners to try basketball through its preparatory programme and recruitment activities. Training, matches, and youth events provide opportunities for players to develop their skills and compete as part of the club. Home fixtures are held at the Miroslav Vondřička Sports Hall in Strakonice, which hosts games across multiple age groups. The club also participates in youth-sport development initiatives, including support for talented players through Czech basketball’s youth development systems.
