## Description

Basselschorra Büchenau e.V. is a community Guggenmusik association based in Büchenau, founded in 1990 by local enthusiasts of the lively carnival music tradition. Its name reflects the group’s connection to Büchenau and local community life, while its mole mascot nods to the area’s agricultural landscape. The association performs an upbeat style of Guggenmusik, choosing pieces intended to be enjoyable both to play and to hear. Its musical activities bring together instruments including trumpets, trombones, drums and bass drums, and beginners are welcome: prospective members do not need prior instrumental experience and can learn an instrument with the group. Basselschorra is affiliated with the Narrenkreis Bruchsal, the Bund Deutscher Karneval and the Vereinigung Badisch-Pfälzischer Karnevalsvereine. Alongside its musical participation and performances, the association organizes the Büchenauer Rocknacht, a concert event scheduled for 2026 at the Bundschuhhalle in Untergrombach. The group also shares its history through an archive of photographs spanning its early years to the present, and connects with supporters through social media.
