## Description

The Bat Association of Greater Lansing is a community-focused organization that grew from the Bat Association of MSU, a registered student group founded at Michigan State University in 2016. Its purpose is to help people learn about bats and appreciate their important role in the ecosystem. The group began by installing bat houses on campus and sharing information about bat conservation and public health. It supports a One Health approach, recognizing the connections among human, animal, and environmental well-being, and brings together people with interests and expertise in fields including veterinary medicine, fisheries and wildlife, horticulture, and zoology.

The association offers educational projects, events, resources, and opportunities to get involved in local bat conservation.
