Battle River Watershed Alliance is a non-profit society dedicated to preserving and enhancing the land and water in the Battle River and Sounding Creek Watersheds in Alberta. As the designated Watershed Planning and Advisory Council, our collaborative partnership provides education, watershed planning, and stewardship to those within the watershed. We strive for a balanced approach that supports healthy natural areas, resilient communities, and a stable economy. Our work focuses on three key areas: education and outreach, watershed management, and stewardship. Through our educational programs, we engage and educate the watershed community, including students, community groups, professionals, and the general public, to ensure a positive and memorable experience. We also lead watershed management efforts, working with residents, stakeholders, and decision-makers to support the health of our watersheds. Additionally, our stewardship projects aim to conserve and enhance the ecological, economic, social, and cultural values of our watersheds. Membership in the Battle River Watershed Alliance is inclusive and open to individuals and organizations living or operating within the Battle River Watershed. We are governed by a Board of Directors and have various working committees. Join us in turning your love for the watershed into action and make a difference for future generations.
