The Bay Area Writing Project (BAWP) is an esteemed collaborative program between the University of California, Berkeley and Bay Area schools. With a rich history dating back to 1973, BAWP has become a cornerstone resource for teachers and schools in the Bay Area. This program firmly believes in the power of successful classroom teachers as the best teachers of teachers.

BAWP offers a diverse range of workshops throughout the year and summer, taught by experienced teachers, to empower and support educators. These workshops cater to teachers at all grade levels, with a focus on enhancing writing instruction skills. BAWP also provides workshops specifically designed for young writers in grades 3-12, pre-service teachers, teachers as writers, and after-school program leaders.
