Bayo Akomolafe is a renowned philosopher, writer, activist, and professor of psychology. He is also the executive director of the Emergence Network, a post-activist project dedicated to exploring new approaches to global crisis, civic action, and social change. With a poetic and indigenous perspective, Bayo challenges conventional wisdom, offering unconventional and counterintuitive insights into our world. He believes in the importance of embracing ambiguity and partial answers, recognizing the complexity and interconnectedness of our existence. As an acclaimed speaker, teacher, and author, Bayo has taught at prestigious institutions around the world, including Middlebury College, Sonoma State University, Simon Fraser University, and Schumacher College. He currently lectures at Pacifica Graduate Institute and the University of Vermont. In addition to his intellectual pursuits, Bayo is a devoted family man. He is married to EJ, his life-partner from India, and they have two children together. Bayo considers his most sacred work to be learning how to be present with his family and nurturing meaningful connections in a world constantly in flux.
