About
Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Harrisonburg Rockingham County is a youth mentoring program that believes in the power of positive relationships to shape the futures of young people. As the nation's largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, they specialize in creating meaningful matches between adult volunteers, known as Bigs, and children, known as Littles, aged 6 through 18. Their programs include school-based mentoring, community-based mentoring, and Sports Buddies, providing various opportunities for children to receive guidance and support.
They also offer mentoring services specifically tailored to Shenandoah County. Families play a crucial role in the success of the program. Parents and guardians are actively involved throughout the process, from approving the selection of their child's Big Brother or Big Sister to participating in child safety training.
They also provide valuable feedback on their child's progress and milestones. By donating or volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, you can make a significant impact on a child's future. Whether it's a small or large contribution, your support helps create positive changes in the lives of young people in your community
