Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island is the largest youth mentoring organization in the state, dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we provide children in our communities with professionally trained and supported adult mentors. Through our volunteer mentors, we help children understand and unlock their full potential, guiding them to become the best versions of themselves.

Our mentors, also known as Bigs, encourage children, or Littles, to overcome challenges, celebrate their strengths, and grow into confident individuals. We serve children between the ages of 7 and 18, pairing them with caring adult mentors in structured mentoring relationships. Established in 1966, our organization has a rich history of empowering at-risk girls and supporting youth.

In addition to our mentoring program, we operate the BBBSRI Donation Center, a social enterprise that collects used clothing and household goods to generate funds for our mentoring program expenses.
