## Description

Back Country Horsemen of Montana, based in Columbia Falls, MT, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting horse and stock use in the back country. Their mission is to ensure the common sense use and enjoyment of horses in America’s roadless backcountry and wilderness areas. They work tirelessly to keep public lands accessible for recreational stock use and support government and private agencies in maintaining and managing these resources. In addition to advocacy efforts, Back Country Horsemen of Montana also offers various services and resources to the general public. They provide education and encourage active participation in the wise and sustainable use of the back country resource by horses and riders. They also strive to foster the formation of new state back country horsemen organizations and seek opportunities to enhance existing areas of recreation for stock users. With their commitment to preserving and promoting equestrian activities in the back country, Back Country Horsemen of Montana is a valuable resource for outdoor enthusiasts and horse lovers alike. Join them in advocating for continued use of public lands and experience the serenity and adventure of life from the back of a horse.
