BC School Sports is a renowned brand that has been providing athletic opportunities for students in British Columbia since its establishment in 1965. Initially known as the British Columbia Federation of School Athletic Associations (BCFSAA), the organization was founded by a dedicated group of teachers and administrators. In subsequent years, they received operational support from the provincial government, and in 1970, they opened their office.

In 1980-81, the brand underwent a name change to BC School Sports. As a self-governed association, BC School Sports collaborates with public and non-public secondary schools across the province. Their member schools play a vital role in approving the operating and competitive policies that govern school sports.

Additionally, BC School Sports welcomes input from various educational and parental organizations. With around 450 member schools and over 90,000 student-athletes participating annually, the brand organizes 62 provincial championships across 19 active sport commissions. They also have a governing body, the Legislative Assembly, comprised of representatives from each member school, making important decisions regarding rules, regulations, policies, fees, advocacy programs, and more.
