## Description

Blue Diamond Society, based in Kathmandu, is a pioneering organization dedicated to the rights and well-being of the LGBTIQ+ community in Nepal. With a mission to ensure equal rights, economic empowerment, and livelihood support for all sexual and gender minorities, Blue Diamond Society plays a vital role in advocating for representation and protection. Founded in 2001 by Sunil Babu Pant, the organization initially focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, care, and treatment in Nepal. Over time, their scope expanded to address broader concerns, including mental health counseling, sexual health education, and policy advocacy for inclusive governance. Blue Diamond Society also conducts sensitization training for media, healthcare workers, government stakeholders, and law enforcement to promote understanding and acceptance. They aim to create employment and income-generating opportunities for the LGBTIQ+ community, fostering a more inclusive society. Through their programs, capacity-building initiatives, and collaborations, Blue Diamond Society continues to drive positive change for LGBTIQ+ individuals, striving for a Nepal where everyone can live with dignity, equality, and respect.
