## Description

The Rhode Island Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan (Beach SAMP) is an initiative aimed at enhancing coastal resilience and addressing the challenges posed by climate change. Partnering with local municipalities, businesses, and residents, Beach SAMP focuses on creating comprehensive strategies for managing coastal hazards. 

The program offers a variety of resources, including access to coastal erosion maps, the STORMTOOLS application for flood planning, and detailed fact sheets that educate stakeholders on coastal dynamics. Beach SAMP regularly hosts stakeholder meetings, providing a platform for community engagement and discussion, as showcased in their recent events and updates. 

Additionally, the program collaborates with the University of Rhode Island and other organizations to unveil critical data, such as flood maps, to further support informed decision-making for coastal property management. Through ongoing updates, training sessions, and workshops, Beach SAMP is dedicated to safeguarding Rhode Island's coastal ecosystems while empowering its communities to navigate the impacts of shoreline change effectively.
