## Description

Girl Connected is a nonprofit organization that supports women pursuing professional success and growth across the music, performing arts, and creative industries. It builds a local-to-global community focused on collaboration, inclusion, and opportunity, helping women develop their skills, confidence, and careers. Its programming includes in-person and virtual events, workshops, special projects, and a Masterclass Series open to the wider creative community. These activities feature industry speakers who share practical insights on leadership, influence, career development, and fostering positive workplace cultures.

A central offering is the Girl Connected Mentorship Program (GCMP), an application-based program currently available in Canada. It supports up to 20 emerging women professionals through structured, curriculum-based mentorship aligned with their goals and interests. Participants take part in project assignments, workshops, coaching sessions, and hands-on involvement in Girl Connected events, concluding with a final presentation or project. The program is not a job placement service, but it helps participants clarify career direction, build practical skills, and connect with peers, alumni, mentors, and potential industry opportunities.
