## Description

Be A Player is an organization focused on helping young athletes participate in sports safely and confidently. Its mission is to ensure every student-athlete can access a high-quality sports physical and medical examination, with services provided free of charge. The organization’s staff and medical professionals donate their time in support of this work.

Examinations cover essential health checks, including blood pressure, heart rate, vision, teeth, and skin, as well as assessments of the heart, lungs, and abdomen. Musculoskeletal screenings help identify bone or joint concerns and possible signs of scoliosis. On-site ECG testing is available for children whose examination reveals an abnormal heart rhythm or heart murmur. An on-site cardiologist can review the ECG and share a treatment plan with the parent when further care is needed.

Be A Player offers ECG testing across Central Florida and organizes events for youth and families. The organization also invites community members to volunteer, donate, and become partners in supporting access to sports physicals and medical screenings.
